Famcart Privacy Policy

Famcart is a shared family shopping-list app for Android (package com.salazardevs.famcart). Because your lists sync across the devices in your household in real time, a small amount of data is stored securely in the cloud. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app. This policy explains exactly what we handle and why.

1. Information we collect

To provide shared, synced lists, Famcart stores the following:

Anonymous account identifier — created automatically on first launch so your lists can sync. By default it does NOT include your name, email, or phone number.
Your shopping data — household name, list names, item names, quantities, notes, categories, and checked status, plus an optional display name you may set within a household.
Household sharing data — a short invite code used to let family members join the same lists.
Subscription and purchase information — if you subscribe to Famcart Premium, your subscription status and a purchase identifier (handled by Google Play Billing and RevenueCat).
Basic technical data — standard device and app information used to operate and troubleshoot the service.

2. How we use your information

To create and sync your shared shopping lists across the devices in your household
To let family members join your lists using an invite code or link
To provide, restore, and manage premium subscriptions
To maintain, secure, and improve the app

3. Service providers

We use trusted third parties to operate Famcart. They process data only on our behalf:

Supabase — secure cloud hosting of your account and shopping-list data (https://supabase.com/privacy)
RevenueCat — subscription management (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy)
Google Play Billing — payment processing for subscriptions (https://policies.google.com/privacy)

We do NOT sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Data sharing within a household

Famcart is built for sharing. Anyone who joins your household with your invite code can see and edit the lists in that household. Only share your code with people you trust.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. Household data shared with other members may persist for those members until they delete it.

6. Children's privacy

Famcart is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
Account and list data is stored with our service providers using industry-standard safeguards
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through the app or the Google Play listing.
